Say No To Strife

Devotions:

“For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.”

‭‭James‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

One of the greatest weapons that the enemy uses against us is strife.  We take offense at each other and allow that to grow into full grown bitterness.  All of this is the door that the enemy needs to steal, kill and destroy us.  We need to be quick to forgive and that only comes by relying on the greater one within us, who cannot help but forgive.  When strife tries to enter our lives, our relationships, our thoughts or any place else we need to choose to walk in love rather than be right.  Strife can never stay in the presence of true Godly love.

Any area that causes strife to enter you heart you need to deal with and either stay away from or ask the Lord how to walk in love in those areas.  Especially politics opens the door for strife.  Religion also brings strife to the surface many times.  The body of Christ is not walking in the place that God has for them because they are in strife with each other. The world will know that we are the disciples of Jesus because of the love that we have for each other. That is why the enemy tries to keep us fighting with each other rather than walking in love.  We claim that we are the ones with the truth and throw stones at those who disagree with us.  Bet if we have a better undertstanding of God then we should walk in more love than those with a lesser understanding.  Instead we criticize each other and call each other heretics.

On all levels your enemy is strife, not a person.  Choose to walk in love towards everyone.
