Who Do You Run With?

Devotions:
The company that we keep will determine the road that we take. If we hear something often enough, even though we know it is a lie to begin with we will begin to believe it. If our company is corrupt they will speak corrupt thing and untrue things which will affect our faith. This will erode our belief in the goodness of God. If we hang out with losers even though they may be Christians, then we will eventually see ourself as a loser and what we see ourself as is how we will act and will determine what we will receive. To hang out with someone is to associate with them and to be open to receive from them.
Of course the opposit is true also. When we associate with good people it will strengthen our morals. In Hebrews 10:25 we are told to forsake not the assembling of ourselves together. When we come together with believers we are keeping company with fellow believers. This will encourage and strengthen your faith to receive everything that God has for you. Unfortunately there are unbelieving believers. People who have received the Lord but refuse to believe what the word has to say on other parts of salvation. Usually this is out of ignorance of the word of God but somethings it is because their tradition is blocking their view of what the word says. So we should seek to come together with believers who are living the word so that our morals and faith will be established in the Lord.
“Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.””
