Fear Of God

Devotions :
“But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.”
Psalms 130:4 KJV
Here the word fear means to honor, respect and esteem God, treasuring Him and holding Him highest regard and of greatest value. Your obedience flowing out of your great love for God as a response to His love for you.
“Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?” Romans 2:4 KJV
The more that we know and receive God's great love for us the more we want to submit to Him. Out of His great love for us He has forgiven all of our sins for us, having become our very sins Himself and paying the full price for our violation of the Law. This is not a license to sin but deliverance from sin. As our focus and concentration is on God's love for us as demonstrated in Jesus, that is the direction that our lives will head. But if our focus is on our trying to eradicate sin ourselves then we will gravitate towards the sin.
God accepts us in all of our sinfulness and pours His sinlessness and perfection into us to make us acceptable to Hin and to set us free from that which is destroying us.
You are the forgiven!
