Redeemed By Love
Devotions
Jesus came to set us free from the consequences of sin and sin itself. The consequences of sin are sickness and disease, poverty, calamity, oppression and depression. Jesus was totally successful in His redemption of us. We are told that we have been set free but we must walk in faith, that is to believe what He has accomplished for us. He did this by killing us, we died with Him on the cross and were raised to newness of life when Jesus was raised from the dead. He did this for every human being ever living on the earth. Not everyone on earth will receive this but those who do receive eternal life and are born again.
Just because we are born again does not mean that we walk in all that Jesus accomplished for us. What we believe is what we will receive. For strong faith we must continually look to the word of God to overcome the lies of Satan who continually tries to persuade us that our Heavenly Father does not love us that much. But God does love us that much and so much more that we cannot understand the height, the depth, the length or the width of His love for us.
Our faith grows as we continually consider the greatness of His love for us. What we focus on intensely is the direction that our life will go, positive or negative. Focus on His love for you with continual praise and thanksgiving.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
John 3:16-17 KJV
