The Blood of The Lamb

Devotions:

        “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” ‭Revelation‬ ‭12:11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        Of what significance is the Blood of the Lamb? Why can we use it in spiritual warfare against the wiles of the devil? Here in Revelation, John says that it was the instrument by which they over came the devil, How?

        The life is in the blood and so it represents the life of a living being, animal or human.  Jesus shed His blood, gave up His life to pay for our redemption.  By dying on the cross and shedding His blood He wrought eternal redemption for us.  By His death, we are totally forgiven.  The hold that the enemy had on the human race was our sin which he had tempted Adam to fall into and Adam had succomed.  The blood says that the price has been fully paid for our salvation.  We are totally forgiven! To plead the blood of Jesusw against the enemy means that the enemy has no recourse against us in the court of Heaven.  He cannot bring a charge against us and obtain a judgement against us because every wrong is covered by the blood. This is not an excuse to walk in sin but that when we do we can receive our forgiveness and not be ensnared by the enemy. The enemy cannot bring sickness, disease, poverty, calamity, depression or oppression upon us if we will appeal to the blood of the Lamb as our defense. Plead the blood over all of your possessions, your family and your life.
