Be Full Of Joy

Devotions:

          “For the grace of God (His unmerited favor and blessing) has come forward (appeared) for the deliverance from sin and the eternal salvation for all mankind.”

          We have eternal salvation. We have an unbreakable covenant with God through Jesus Christ.

“that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.”

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:7-9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Peter says that though we have not seen Jesus, we love Him. And though we seen Him not now, we believe and rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. Our joy comes from our secure connection with God through the work of the cross of Jesus. He paid the full price for our sins that we might be reconciled to our Father God. Our joy is a constant in our spirit. Sometimes our circumstances will try to obscure our joy but it never leaves us. We need to daily just take time to rejoice in the Lord because of our great salvation that never changes. We are in right relationship with God not because of what we do or have done but because of what Jesus did for us. We can reject that relationship but we cannot unknowingly lose it because we sin. When we are secure in His love we are full of Joy and our faith grows to new heights. We also desire to spend time in His presence more than anything else in the world. As we rejoice in Him, He manifest His glory to us.
