Set Your Affections On The Lord

Devotions:

         “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”  Colossians‬ ‭3:2-4‬ ‭KJV‬

We are to set our affections on things above, not just think about them. We meditate on them until the things above become a precious treasure to us. What we focus on is what our affections will gravitate towards. We then need to think constantly about our wonderful Heavenly Father and all the good things that He has planned for us. As we take time to praise Him not just for what we see already manifested but what He has promised because we know that He will keep His word. Not only that but He delights in us as His children. He does not grudgingly give us His blessing but He wants to heap His blessing upon us daily.we are to look to His word and His promises not to the negativity of the world. As we rejoice in Him because of all His goodness towards us, which is too great to number, we build our expectation to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. As we partake of His fulness we become satisfied in Him and this gives Him glory. Fall head over heels in love with our Father God. His goodness is everlasting and His Mercies endure forever.
