Working Out Our Salvation

November  2, 2022

Devotions :

As you look at yourself what do you consider your weakest part. When we turn these weak parts over to God and look to Him to overcome in these areas we then see His power and glory manifested on His part.  God does not reprimanded us for be weak but for not turning to Him and His power to overcome.  If we overcome in our own strength and power then  we get the glory if anything happens. We cannot deliver ourselves we can just do a little behavior modification and that is not permanent.  But if we look to the Lord then when deliverance comes and strength to overcome, then the Lord gets the glory. Our salvation is of the Lord, not of our own efforts. We want to take some credit for cleaning up our act but in reality we can do nothing in ourselves.

“Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.” ‭John‬ ‭5‬:‭19‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus was totally submitted to the Father and so we must be totally submitted to the Father. We need to acknowledge and recognize the power of God working within us.

“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” ‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭KJV‬‬
