WE Are Christians!

        “and when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.”

‭‭Acts‬ ‭11‬:‭26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Why were they called Christians. Some have thought that is was a mistake. But Paul taught in Antioch for a whole year. What did he teach. The revelation that he had received. Our sins were not just forgiven but we were given new life, eternal life. We now have Christ dwelling within us.

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” ‭Galatians‬ ‭2‬:‭20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Because we have the life of Christ within us and we are then to imitate Christ they were called Christians or little Christ in Antioch. We are to live by His life within us, not by out own strength. In 2 Corinthians 11 Paul talks about glorying in his weaknesses because then the life can manifest through us. We received an anointing at the new birth to live before God.

“to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”
