As He Is So Are We In This World

Devotions:

          “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.”  ‭1 John‬ ‭4:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

          “and lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        This is what righteousness means, that we are the favored Son of the Most High God. This is not based on our work but on the finished work of Jesus. We are beloved of Him. We are the son that God loves, not to the exclusion of anyone else. Everyone in Christ should claim this, that we are special to God. A treasure hidden in a field, the earth. A pearl of great price.  This does not even begin to describe how much God loves us and has done for us. We are not trying to gain God’s favor, we already have it in ChristJesus. We need to close our eyes and experience how much our Father delights in us. He is holding nothing against us. We have an open, free access to the Father.

          “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” ‭John‬ ‭14:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        We do not beg and plead for God’s presence, we know that we live and move and have our being in His presence. He said that He would never leave us or forsake us.  Jesus took the Father’s wrath so that the only thing left for us is God’s favor walk constantly in that favor.
