Whose Strength

Devotions:
Whose energy are you using?
“We know that the Law is spiritual; but I am a creature of the flesh [carnal, unspiritual], having been sold into slavery under [the control of] sin. For I do not understand my own actions [I am baffled, bewildered]. I do not practice or accomplish what I wish, but I do the very thing that I loathe [which my moral instinct condemns].” Romans 7:14-15 AMPC
“But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).”
Galatians 5:16 AMPC
If we walk by the flesh either in disobedience to God or by trying to fulfill God’s will by the strength of our flesh we will fail and become worn out. Many are trying to do what they think God wants without really knowing what God wants because they have not spent time with God waiting on Him and asking Him what is His will for a situation. If we need healing we have it revealed in the scriptures that healing is for us but we need to ask God how we should go about receiving our healing. If it is totally by faith then good and if we need a physician’s help as God directs then we should receive our healing with no condemnation. We are to walk in God’s rest that all that is necessary is finished in Christ for all that we need. It is not trying to earn God’s provision but receiving what God has done.
