All Seeking Paradise

February 24, 2022

Devotions:

The whole human race is seeking for this place called paradise. People want to be millionaires or billionaires to live live in the lap of luxury and ease, no worries. But no matter how much money you make you are never at peace due to the money. People seek fame to say that they are somebody but this never gives them peace or joy. Many look to drugs and alcohol to dull the pain of their life that was inflicted by their circumstances and experiences but they never really escape the pain and condemnation. All of these run from God knowingly or unknowingly to try to fulfill themselves. They are seeking a comfort zone of reality. Their search for reality is anything but a search for God.

The true reality is God and our reconciliation to our Creator by the blood of Jesus. He is our joy, He is our peace, He is our acceptance to the Father.  Our Father calls us by name. We are His beloved. Even Christians seek things, money, fame, glamour to try fill a void that only God can and will fill if we look to Him. God is the reason for our existence and He is our fulfillment. We were created to be co-workers with Him as His sons and daughters. Our pursuit is to know Him and have the honor to walk in His presence as a favored son.

“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” ‭John‬ ‭17:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; if by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:7-14‬ ‭KJV‬‬
