Resting In Salvation

March 21, 2022

Devotions:

Our salvation rest exclusively on the finished work of Jesus. This finished work is signified by HIs ascension to the Father and being seated at His right hand. Jesus finished and accomplished all that was necessary for our salvation. Salvation is not just going to heaven when we die but living in the provisions of heaven while we fulfill the assignment which we have been given on the earth, to make disciples of all nations.

“that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” ‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So this glorious church that Jesus is coming for is without spot or wrinkle or any such thing by the work of Jesus. Not by our own efforts. The body. Of Christ will never be perfect while she exist on this earth in herself but in Jesus Christ.

How the do we make ourselves ready? By believing on wha Jesus did for us. Believing is acting in accord with what we know and have accepted as fact. Believing in and resting in the completed work of Christ for our total salvation. Rejoicing in all that the Father has done for us and accepting it as our own.

We have good works assigned for us to do but we do them because we are saved not to get saved. Our salvation is Jesus plus nothing else. The life of Jesus coming into us radically changes us into the unmarried image of our Father. To believe is to do, in fact all of our actions are based on what believe, true or false. We need to rid ourselves of the false and replace it with truth as found in the word of God.
