Confidence In Christ

Devotions:
“that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; …..” Ephesians 3:17 KJV
In Colossians 1:27, Paul says that it is Christ in you the hope of glory. In Galatians 2:20 that I was crucified with Christ, never the less I live. Yet not I but Christ lives in me.
So here in Ephesians Paul is not saying that Christ would come into our hearts to dwell. He is already dwelling there, we just need to know His presence with in us. This is the foundation of our salvation, no longer I that lives but Christ lives in me. If we do not know this as a certainty, then the enemy will persuade us to the contrary. We will be trying to secure our place before the Father through our works.
When we know that Christ literally dwells in our heart by the new birth, we know that we are accepted by the Father. We are no longer orphans despised and rejected but we are accepted in the beloved, Christ. God the Father loves us as much as He loves Jesus because we are in Jesus not by our own doing but by the Father’s doing through the work of Christ Jesus. Christ in me is my righteous standing before the Father and Christ never changes.
When I know that Christ is in me and I am loved by the Father, Christ in me is my operational system. I use to be ruled by a faulty operational system, the old man of sin but now I have a new system. If I am not convinced of Christ in me then I will go back to my old faulty default system of sin from which to operate.
When I know that Christ is in me then I will be assured of my audience with the Father and I will operate in signs, wonders and miracles like Jesus did because I will be confident that it is not I doing the work but my Father who dwells within me in Christ.
