His Face Shines On Us

Devotions:

“Turn us again, O God, And cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭80:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“God be merciful unto us, and bless us; And cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. That thy way may be known upon earth, Thy saving health among all nations.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭67:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:18‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God is predisposed to give us salvation. His salvation is when we have His full favorable attention. We have that attention is Jesus. Jesus is the beloved Son of whom the Father is well pleased. We are in Jesus and the Father is well pleased with us because of what Jesus did. Jesus died for us, not Himself.  Our salvation is our Father’s good pleasure. Instead of asking the Father to turn His face towards us so that we can be saved, we need to realize that in Jesus His face is already turned to us and not us only but the whole world. We just need to turn to Him.

When we turn to God with all of our hearts and quit trying to save ourselves we find that God’s face is towards us with an out pouring of His love for us. God’s face shine upon us in Jesus. He has removed all the barriers between us and our Father and God now can give us His full attention. Sin has been dealt with once and for all.

“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:17-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬
