A Good Foundation

“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.” Matthew‬ ‭7:24-27‬ ‭KJV

Jesus shares with us the formula to success. When we have meditated on the word of God until we see how to do it, then we will be founded on the rock of the unchanging word of God. The is a revelation of who God is and how He operates. To be a successful person you must think like a successful person. The most successful person in the universe is God. So we must make it our priority to learn how to think like God so that we will act like God. The Old Testament believers, it was up to the strength of their own will. We have the new birth and are to look to the greater one within us.

If we hear the words of Jesus and do not do them then we will base our life on our feelings or if we never hear His word we will have a faulty foundation that when the trials and testing of life come we will be swept away and destroyed.

God told Joshua what is necessary to succeed, to meditate on the word of God until ‬you see how to do the word. Then you will see how to succeed and you will see how to have good success.
