No More sin

Devotions:

From the root of sin comes all sickness and disease. But we have been made new creations in Christ Jesus. He took our sins that we might receive His righteousness. All of our sins have been forgiven.

“who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;” ‭Hebrews‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.” ‭Hebrews‬ ‭10:2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We are not to become sin conscious but righteousness conscious. Righteousness is our gift from God. When we focus on our righteousness from God we then draw close to God. When we sin we apply the blood of Jesus.

“how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” ‭Hebrews‬ ‭9:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We remember that Jesus became our sin in order to set us free from sin. His blood testifies to the finished work on the cross for our eternal salvation. When we take communion we are remembering the shed blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all sin.

When we know in our hearts that we have been purged from all sin then sickness and disease has no power over us. From time to time we must enforce this and we must refresh ourselves with the word as to what is ours. Our total salvation is secure, do we believe that?
