Authority

Devotions:

         We have authority on the earth. God can do nothing on the earth unless a person ask Him. God originally in Genesis 1:26-28 gave mankind the authority over all of His creation. If He took back over the rulership of the earth, He would have violated His word and would be a liar and God cannot lie. In Malachi 3:6 we see that God is a constant and does not change. That means that if He blesses mankind once we can count on that being consistent. The power behind the authority that we have is the Almighty God. We must operate in our authority in line with God’s will.

         “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:9-10 KJV

          “And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19 KJV

         If we do not take our authority, then the enemy will take from us what we were suppose to take. We are put here to guard the earth which for us is our own personal space and anything that affects that space.

         When the enemy is able to break through, we are not defeated but we use our authority to take back what the enemy stole from us. We do not go cry and moaning to God, we stand up and use the authority given to us. If we do not see results then we need to consult God about where we missed it. God’s word never fails. We fail in applying it in faith.
