A Race To Run

Devotions:

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:”

‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,” ‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We all have an assignment or a race that is set before us. We need to find out what our assignment is and pursue that assignment in order to fulfill what God has for us. When we have a clear vision of what we are to do it we can set about completing the task. As we set out to do His will, His presence is with us and His anointing empowers us. When we have completed our task we can go home to heaven with joy and no regret. It is not just preachers that have a race or assignment but every human and especially Christian’s. Of course the first step for anyone to fulfill their task is to get born again and filled with the Spirit. Many Christians and even pastors never enter into the first part of their assignment from God. They live a very frustrated, unfulfilled life because they are not in the place that God has for them.

As Paul indicates just knowing and pursuing our assignment is a fight of faith. The enemy will try to dissuade us almost at every turn. we must be secure in our salvation.

Jesus said in Matthew 7:7 that if we asked we would receive. Ask God, seek and pursue the answer until you know what God has for you.
