I Have The Life Of God In Me

Devotions :

          “In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it].” ‭John‬ ‭1:4-5‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

This verse is talking about Jesus but in talking about Jesus it is also talking about us who are born again. Jesus came to give us the eternal life that He had. So we have eternal life, the life of God. That life within us first is a witness to people of God and His goodness. It is a light unto men without us opening our mouths. In order for them to get saved we must open our mouths and give witness to the hope that is within us, the light of God.

Second it says that the light shined in darkness and the darkness never overpowered it. Darkness is the work of the evil one. None of the work of the evil one can over come us if we will believe in the light within us. That includes sickness and disease. We must believe in the light of God within us and continually speak it out. “I have the life of God within me and the darkness cannot overcome it.”

Paul put it this way:

“And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you.”
