The Faithfulness And Goodness Of God

Devotions:

Two thins that we need to be absolutely convinced about. One is the goodness of God. The other is His faithfulness. Not everything that happens to us is from God. If we take the approach that everything that happens is God’s work, then our view of God and the definition of goodness gets twisted.

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” ‭‭John‬ ‭10:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus is the perfect image of the Father, so this describes the Father’s will for us.

We have a formidable enemy. He is already defeated it if he can deceive us into doubting God’s goodness towards us or that God is unfaithful then the enemy will keep us under his power, a power that we have given him when we believe him over God.

The key to our walking in victory is the word of God. When the word of God is in our hearts so much that it totally dominates our thinking, then there is no room for the devil’s lies and we reign in life as kings over all f the work of the enemy.

“And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.” ‭‭Exodus‬ ‭34:6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬
