Devotions:

“And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

The word of God reveals God’s amazing love for us. If when we read the word of God we see anything different, we need to read it again, because we read it incorrectly. The word of God is a mirror in which we see our reflection. That reflection is the reflection of the perfect son of God, Jesus. As we look and see Jesus, we see Him in His glory and we are transformed into that glory because we see His perfect work of salvation.

If we see sin or unrighteousness and are condemned then we need to change our glasses. We are looking through the glasses of our good works instead of Jesus’ perfect work on our behalf. We did not want salvation, we could not earn it but God gave it to us anyway.

Our repentance is putting off the old man and putting on the new man who was created in Christ Jesus in holiness and righteousness. Our new nature is unchangeable. We are continually being washed by the cleansing power of the blood of Jesus. We renew our minds to who the new me is in Christ Jesus. Our new life force is holy and righteous. We learn to yield to who we truly are in Christ.

“Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:16-18‬ ‭KJV‬‬
