God’s Love

Devotions:

          Humanity is terribly broken. Adam did this when he sinned against God and turned his trust from God, the earth over to our enemy, Satan.  The earth has been in a colossal mess. The rule of Satan is selfishness. The law of God is sacrificial love. God is love. Our salvation is the transformation from selfishness to sacrificial love. Only God can give total sacrificial love because He is love and He is infinite. When we then know His total love for us it creates His love in our hearts for Him and for our fellow human beings. We are not the source of love but we are the recipient and the channel that it flows through to the world. We need then to be rooted and grounded in God’s unconditional love for us. Out of that conviction comes a faith that our brokenness cannot steal from us. If we look at ourselves we are defeated. When we look at God’s unmerited love and commitment for us we will walk in victory. Then we will walk in humility because we know our total failure without God and we know His total acceptance of us. Our acceptance of His love for us is what He is desiring. That love will then transform us into His image.
