Trust In God’s Word

Devotions:

        To trust in the Lord and in His unfailing love is to trust in His word. We cannot understand  God apart from His word. We need the Holy Spirit to bring revelation of God’s word to our hearts. So first we must put His word first place in our lives. We must honor the word by focusing on it. The  place that we give God’s word in our life will determine how much we receive from it. This especially pertains to the finished work of salvation by the Lord Jesus Christ. We  cannot add to it nor take away from it but it is so deep we need help understanding the depths of our salvation.

        As we pray in the Spirit, He opens the word up to us and shows us what is the meaning and ramifications are of our salvation as revealed in the word of God. God’s word will never fail but our misunderstanding of the word will fail. It is when we know the truth that we are set free. If we are not set free, or healed or delivered or have our prayer answered then we need to look at what we believe is the truth and see where we have missed it.
