Humility

Devotions:

          “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for their's is the kingdom of heaven.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        The attitude of the kingdom is humility. It is only when you recognize our true condition then we can advance. Our true condition is that without God we are nothing. We were made to work together with God.  We cannot operate independent from God even though we have a lot of God’s abilities such as faith, love…. with out God these abilities are bankrupt. Jesus had emptied Himself of His Godly prerogatives so He could only do what He saw the Father doing.  Jesus is our model of operation. We only say what we hear the Father say. We only do what we see the Father doing.

          We meditate in the scriptures until we see the Father saying or doing something then we copy what we see the Father saying or doing.

          “Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.” ‭‭John‬ ‭5:19 KJV

“Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.” ‭John‬ ‭8:28‬ ‭KJV‬‬
