The Praise Cure

“Let the people praise thee, O God; Let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; And God, even our own God, shall bless us. God shall bless us; And all the ends of the earth shall fear him.” ‭Psalm‬ ‭67:5-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The highest form of prayer is praise and thanksgiving. As we take the time to focus on the answer to our prayers through praise we are demonstrating faith. We praise not to manipulate God to give us what we want or have prayed about but we praise God because we believe that we have received what we prayed about. Here it says that as we focus on praise, the earth before us opens up in blessing.

Dr. Lillian B. Yoemans had a teaching in her book on the praise cure. That is to vigorously praise God for healing or provision or what we have prayed about for ourselves. As we do we are believing in the finished work of Jesus and the authority that we have. Abraham’s strengthened his faith by giving glory to God that what God had promised, He would perform. To walk in the blessings of God we must live a life style of praise to God continuously.
