The Blessing

Devotions:

The blessing of the Lord is ours. We are Abraham’s seed by faith in Jesus Christ. In the new birth, the old man of sin, who we were, was crucified with Christ. We the were raised a new species of being, a new creation in Christ. We became partakers of Christ’s life and heirs of Abraham. So the covenant that God cut with Abraham is our covenant through Christ Jesus. It is a covenant of blessing. Our Father God has poured out His blessings upon us just like He poured out the blessings on Abraham and especially on Jesus. Jesus totally fulfilled the requirements for God’s blessing for us as a man so we could be reestablished in the original position before God. We should expect to be blessed in everything that we do as we follow the leading of the Spirit. We should speak the blessing over everything that we own and over everyone we come in contact with. We were blessed to be a blessing to the world as we reveal our God to them.

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
