Some Christians believe that the manifestations of the Spirit, the miracles, passed away with the last apostle. Many Christians believe that the gifts of the Spirit are only for those who stand behind a pulpit or those who have a special ministry. But the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and the manifestations of the Spirit that accompany it are for all believers. Those called to the five fold ministry are to train all others how to do the ministry. You have a ministry. The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is the empowering of God upon you to help you fulfill your ministry. The gift of tongues which accompanies the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a tool for you to use daily to draw close to God and to pray His prayers by the leading of the Spirit. We come in close contact with the Holy Spirit and learn to hear His voice. When we pray in the Spirit we speak as the Holy Spirit gives us the utterance. So you are praying the perfect will of the Father. As as we pray we ask for the interpretation, as the Spirit is willing, to allow our minds to know the will of the Father. As we act on the revealed will of the Father we see supernatural manifestations in our lives. Then we are walking as sons of God, male and female.
