Devotions:
“In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me. In God will I praise his word: in the Lord will I praise his word. In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.”
Psalms 56:4, 9-11 KJV
To trust in God is to trust in His word. When we trust in God we know that He is faithful to His word to fulfill His word. If we believe that we are trusting in God and in His word but do not see the results that the word talks about then we need to ask God where we are missing in our faith because God does not fail and if we see not results then something must change and God does not change. This says that God is ever ready to completely fulfill His word on our behalf if we approach in faith. Everyone who approached Jesus in faith for healing received what they were asking for. When we ask in line with God's word that we have established in our hearts we are assured of an answer. Our expectation is high because His word has become alive in our hearts.
“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”
John 15:7 KJV
Some people read and meditate on the Sonnets of Shakespeare, others on the poems or writings of other writers. May be some motivation course or course on how to be prosperous people will put to memory to act upon. How much more the words of life given to us in the New Testament. They are unlike any other words. They are backed by God and are truth. God will not fail, God will fulfill His word in our lives when we believe them.
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Romans 10:17 KJV
