God is Good

“The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.”

“But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord.”

‭‭Numbers‬ ‭14:21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        The children of Isreal had seen all of the miracles that the Lord had performed for them.  They had seen the judgements on Egypt that did not touch them.  They had seen their enemy swallowed in the Red Sea and yet they had gone over on dry ground.  They had seen the miracle provision of manna and quail and water, and yet they had not believed in the love of God for them.  When God told them to take the land of promise they balked and said that there were giants in the land and they looked like grasshoppers in their own sight.  By Moses' intercession God's wrath had been stayed but He told them that they could have what they said, that they would die in the wilderness.  Then God stated that His glory shall fill the earth.  We know from Exodus 33 that God's glory is His goodness.  This is God's will and intention, that His goodness fill the earth. For us to walk in that goodness we must believe in the goodness of the Lord towards us and not be like the Isrealites who saw the miracles that testified to God's goodness and yet still questioned His goodness in their lives.  They kept accusing Him of wanting to destroy them and do them harm. 

        Look for the goodness of God in everything that we see and give Him credit for that goodness.  For evil, give credit to the enemy not to God.
