“A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18:20-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell." ‭‭James‬ ‭3:2-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The most powerful weapon that we have is our tongue. It will bring good or do harm. Our tongue guides the path for our lives. If you do not like where we are in life, look to what you have been saying. When we say what we believe, good or evil, that is the direction we will go.  If we have a thought it will die unborn if we do not speak it. If we though do not choose to speak the opposit of the thought we will continue to meditate on that thought until we do speak it.  We must counteract every negative thought with a word of truth from the word of God.

Who controls our tongue will determine what we say. If our flesh controls our tongue then we will speak things that hurt people and even destroy ourselves. But if our spirit controls our tongue then we will speak life, if we are born again, and success.  One of the advantages of praying in tongues is as we pray we can get our bodies quiet and operate out of our spirit.

watch what you say.  Ask the Holy Spirit to put a watch over your mouth so you do not enable the enemy by your negative words but your enable God and His angels to work on your behalf.  Speak what the word of God says about you even around your friends.  They may think you are weird but you will walk in victory and they will not.
