Taste and See That the Lord is Good

“The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, And rescues them. O taste and see that the LORD is good; How blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!”

        Here is a promise for protection for those who fear the Lord.  The Fear of the Lord is to honor Him and greatly esteem Him treating His with highest respect and of greatest value.  If you fear the Lord you walk in submission and obedience to Him.  If He is your God then you act like He is your God and He will protect you.  The other qualification is that we take refuge in Him.  We must call up on Him in our time of trouble and need and not just expect that He will be there for us without our calling on Him.  If we do not take refuge in Him then He cannot help us.  God responds to our faith!

        The Psalmist says that we to experience the Lord and see that He is good.  When we have tasted His goodness then we will want to not just taste but to take refuge in Him.  Many Christians are being hurt and killed in the world because they think it is God's will so they do not call upon Him. 

        As you take time to meditate on these promises until they become alive in your heart then you will walk in the reality of the Lord's protection and blessing.
