The Glory in the Church
Devotions:
“Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” Ephesians 3:21 KJV
“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,” Ephesians 1:18 KJV
God's intention is for His glory to be seen in the church. That is hearings, deliverances, restoration, prosperity, and of course salvations. We in the church need to ever be seeking as how we might better align ourselves with God. This is not an issue of going to heaven but of being His instruments here on the earth. There is a walk of holiness and righteousness that we must seek to walk in as the church to demonstrate the life of God, the glory of God on the earth. When we have sin issues, that is we have been snared by the enemy then we need to come to the leaders not to be reprimanded but to be healed and set free. When the church takes a compassionate view towards the sinner and a no compromising stance against sin is when we will see more of God's glory in the church. Our goal is to walk in holiness and righteousness. That does not mean that we will do it perfect the first time that we decide to do it. It does not mean that we will walk perfect the second or the third time. But when we fail and fall we need to confess it to the Lord and confess our weakness to fulfill this and ask for His power to move through us to walk upright.
When we believe what the Bible says about us then we will walk that way. We think that we believe that we are holy and righteous but most of us are just mentally agreeing with what the word says and really do not believe it.
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
Romans 10:17 KJV
Meditate to do the word!
