Believe the Word

Devotions:
Adam's problem with God came from not believing His word to Him. Our problem is the same, we do not believe His word to us.When we initially hear and receive Jesus' sacrifice for us we limit the salvation that He provides. Even when we are born again many people make it a temporary salvation that can be lost as the least error.
We need to be secure in our salvation. Secure in God's healing provision. Secure in God's provision. Secure in God's deliverance of us from the kingdom of darkness. Secure in God's peace for us. Secure in God's love for us as detailed in the epistles. This security only comes from believing the word of God and that only comes as we meditate on His word to understand it and act on it. In the Old Covenant, Joshua was told to meditate on the law day and night.
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
Joshua 1:8 KJV
In the New Covenant we are no longer under the law so what do we meditate upon?
“And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.”
Acts 20:32 KJV
The word of His grace is all about who we are as sons of God and our right standing with Him. It is all about God's favor towards us because we are now in the kingdom of the Son of His love.
Believe His word about who we are and all the provisions of the New Covenant inwhich our Heavenly Father longs for us to walk.
