Devotions:

“Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.” ‭Acts‬ ‭3:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        Jesus came to set us free.  The Jews thought that it was going to be a political freedom, that will come.  Jesus first had to set us free from what would destroy us, our sins, transgressions and iniquities.  He came to make us whole,  "We are complete in Him." He came to make us the righteousness of God that we might walk in intimate fellowship with our Father God, our Creator.  In that intimacy we feed on the love our Father has for us and we become vessels of His love to all those around us.  Jesus came to set us free from selfishness and cruelty.  These are the things that destroy us. Unforgiveness, resentment, bitterness are our enemies not people.  Jesus came to forgive our atrocious sin against the God of love so that we could forgive those around us and walk with Him.  Our iniquities destroy us but we have deliverance in Jesus and His sacrifice for us.  As new creations we have the life and nature of God in us        and no longer the nature of Satan.

        “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”
