In Him

Devotions:
The greatest need of the body of Christ is to know who we are in Christ. This is not just a head knowledge but an abiding revelation of our new identity as a righteous new creation, old things have past away, behold all things have become new. The old person who I use to be, the sinner died with Christ and a new person recreated in righteousness and holiness is the new me.
Our new identity is found in God and defined by God. Before we became Christian and even afterwards we many times have allowed the world to define who we were. But we have been delivered from the kingdom of darkness and translated into the kingdom of the Son of God's love and favor.
Walking in our righteousness means that we are by faith walking with God. When we praise and worship God we are not trying to get in God's good graces, we are already in God's good grace by the new birth because we are in Christ Jesus. We look just like Jesus.
“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
Galatians 2:20 KJV
