At One Within

Devotions:

        Unity is a very important and necessary thing to overcome the enemy.  The first place to have unity is within our own selves. If we believe the lie of Satan that God is looking for any way to judge us and condemn us to send us to hell then we will not have peace because we know that we are imperfect.  Jesus said in John 3:17 that He came not to condemn the world but that the world might be saved through Him. 

“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:" ‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        A part of our peace within ourselves is learning to forgive ourselves. We usually think of ourselves much higher than we are so when we fail we are very hard on ourselves. The reason for our high opinion and our failure is the same, pride. Because we thought so highly ov ourselves we did not look to nor rely totally on God. To be at peace within ourselves we must look totally to His salvation and not our own work, whether it in obedience to His voice or deliverance from sin.  It is God's power within us and our reliance on that power that gives us the victory.
