Carriers of His Glory

Devotions:

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”

‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

What is the glory of God refered to here in these passages.  Paul says in Romans that all have missed the glory of God. What Paul is referring to is the original plan for mankind to walk in and display the glory of God in our every day life.  When Adam sinned, he turned from God and chose to walk by his own devices, being dominated by Satan. He no longer walked in life but he walked in death, the nature of Satan.  Instead of walking in love, God's nature he now walked in selfishness.  He could no longer live up to God's standard. But God had a plan called salvation.  It was a mystery hidden from the foundation of the world. That plan was that mankind could be born again through the sacrifice of Jesus and their spirits be recreated in righteousness and holiness by the eternal life infused into them.  This is Christ in us, the Spirit of resurrection who overcame all defeat and all of the curse.  So salvation is exclusively by the power of God and His life within us.  We are to yield to that life and allow it to dominate us.  We must feed on the word of God to know what is ours so we can cooperate with His life in us.  Because we are still in the flesh, we still have the possibility to sin but the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin.  As we walk in His life in us we demonstrate His glory to all those around us.  We die to our flesh and walk in His love.  We must chose to come into His presence to feed on His love for us. This is the revelation of His word, His love for us.

God has restored what Adam lost in the garden of Eden. We were created to be carriers of His glory, now we can do that through Him who died for us and rose again.
