God Keeps Us From Stumbling and Makes Us Stand

Devotions:

“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.”

‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:24-25‬ ‭NASB‬‬

Jude is saying here that God is able to keep us from stumbling and falling.  But many Christians sturmble and fall. It is not our effort that keeps from stumbling and falling it is God by His Holy Spirit through Jesus Christ.  We walk without falling by looking to His presence within us, Christ in you the hope of glory. Colossians 1: 27

Not only does He keep us from falling but also presents us, or makes us stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy.  by the blood of Jesus we are blameless, innocent, have no condemnation upon us.  We need to see ourselves that way, the way God sees us.  As we stand in the presence of His glory we are transformed from glory to glory.  When Moses saw God's glory, his face shone with that glory even though it was fading.  We are to behold His glory and our faces will also shine but because of our righteousness that God gave us we should renew it every day.

The outcome of God's work in salvation that enables us to stand blameless before His glory is great joy. When we are sad or depressed it is because our eyes are looking to our own efforts and not to His glorious accomplishments.

Thank God that He, no ourselves, keeps us from stumbling.  Thank God that He makes us to stand in the presence of His glory, blameless and with great joy.  I cannot do this but He did it for me.  I choose to accept it.  Notice this is now and forever.
