Christ At Work Within You

Devotions:

        “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:8-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        Our salvation, from the new birth to the time that we receive our new bodies, like unto His, is all of God.  We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus.  God did not need any help in doing this work.  We must simply believe in His work in us and not in our own works.  As believers we hate sin and as we look to his workmanship with in us He delivers us from sin. 

        “By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:” ‭Romans‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭KJV‬‬

        We obey from our hearts only as much as we believe.  An outward coercion will produce a form of compliance but it will not bring permanent liberty and obedience from a heart of love.  When we believe in His great love wherein He has loved us, we then obey from our hearts and from the glorious liberty of the sons of God.  Our efforts to comply to what we think in God's desire stinks in God's nostrils.  but when we obey from a revelation of who God has made us and our new relationship with Him, His power within us, that resurrection power that raised Jesus from the dead, overcomes all our weaknesses and frailities.  The work is not ours but His, we learn the truth and actively yield to it. 

        “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:”
