Battle For the Mind

Devotions:

        The spiritual battlefield is our mind, not the atmosphere around us. Satan's attack comes by lies to our mind and it is up to us to know where they are from and to resist them.  God told Joshua that to succeed in life you need to think like God thinks.  God is the only successful being in the universe. Satan is not successful and humans have not proven to be successful because we have followed Satan from the beginning when Adam and Eve chose to believe his lie. But through Jesus Christ we can hook back up with our creator and walk in His success.  That is why He wants us to think like He thinks.  Even though we rebelled against Him and went the way of sin, shame and failure, God loved us so much that He sent Jesus to restore success to us.  He formed the image of success in us by the new birth.  As we renew our mind to the word by meditating on it until it becomes a part of our DNA.  Second in spiritual warfare we are to act like God acts.  We act on what we believe and as we meditate on the word it changes our believing.  We need to make a decision to act on what we have been meditating on as the truth as opposed to our circumstances and feelings that are contiridictory. So we are to think like God thinks, speak like God speaks and act like God acts.  This is what Jesus did and lived in victory and success. 

        This does not mean that Satan will not try to use people to dissuade you and destroy you. You cannot control humans but you can take authority over the demon spirits that are trying to use people against you.

        “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”
