It Is Finished!

Devotions:
“Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.” Hebrews 4:1-3, 9-11 KJV
In Hebrews 4 the author talks about entering the rest of God. Joshua offered the children of Israel a rest but they refused to enter in. The rest that he offered was to take God at His word, that He would give them the land and all they had to do was to go in and receive it. God would fight for them and e ven though the enemies were larger and tougher than they were they would always be victorious as they relied on the Lord. When they went in their own strength they would be defeated. Even though God gave them the land and told them to eridacate all the inhabitants they never accomplished what they were suppose to do, they did not believe God and walk in His rest.
This is a shadow of the true rest that we have in Jesus. Jesus did everything necessary for our salvation. He did everything necessary to deliver us from the power of the enemy but we only walk in the measure of our salvation that we believe in.
“By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” Romans 5:2 KJV
When you receive Jesus you receive a complete salvation. If you do not walk in the fullness of it here on earth, it is still yours and you will receive it in heaven.
If you went to the finest restaurant and ordered the best meal, would you then take out a bucket of mud and dribble it over the food before you ate it? No! Then why do you want to take the sewage of the world and dribble it over heavenly cuisine before you partook of it? Find out what is yours, the cuisine of heaven and quit settling for the sewage of the world. It is Finished.
