A Time Such As This!

Devotions:

‬‬“For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

        We all have been placed on the earth for the times that we live in. As with Esther we must respond to our situation as God leads us. We can go on and live our lives as we want but then they will have we no eternal value.  If we are just living for ourselves and our own gratification then God will use someone else to bring salvation to the people but we will not receive any reward.  As we seek the Lord and find out our assignment from Him then we, by His grace fulfill that assignment.  Many Christians, even Christian pastors never find out what their assignment is nor the phases of that assignment and thus never enter into the first phase of their ministry.  This holds true also for those not in the five fold ministry.  In the world we take jobs according to how much we are paid or we move to a different city because we may get more pay never asking the Lord what is His will.  Our objective on this earth is to find out what the will of the Lord is for ourselves and do it.

        Because Esther choose to act on the advise of her cousin, Mordecai and the risk of her own life she went into the King's presence to intercede for her people. We also have to be willing to die for the kingdom in order to fulfill our task from the Lord.  We are in the kingdom for such a time as this.
