God's Love
Devotions:
All sin comes from our doubting our heavenly Father's love for us. When we believe that God is angry with us then we are in doubt of His incredible love for us. Sin cries o us that we are not worthy of God's love. In ourselves we are not worthy but by the blood of Jesus we are worthy. The blood of Jesus is immutable, incorruptible and eternal. The manifestation of God's eternal love for us is the shed blood of Jesus which we did not want nor ask for.
When we hear about God's love for us we must choose to believe in His love. Too often we just give mental agreement to what we have heard. When our circumstances seem to contradict His love, if we only mentally agree we will start to doubt His love. The more we meditate on God's promises, the more convinced of His love for us. His promises are a revelation of what our Heavenly Father longs to do for us. His promises are a demonstration of His love for us.
“And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”
1 John 4:16 KJV
We must choose to believe God's word and doubt our doubts. As we focus on God's love for us we grow in our expectation of God fulfilling His word to us. The more we are convinced of His love for us the easier it is to believe Him.
