The Anointing

      “Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.”

      When we honor God we will receive the blessings of God. When we honor the word of God we will receive the promises that God has given us in the word. Honoring God and His word is much more than saying the word, I honor God and His word. Honoring God and His word is acting like it is true even in the face of contiridictory circumstances and feelings. It is taking the testimony of the word of God above all other testimonies. When we honor God and His word, God honors us.

      When we honor God's presence and His anointing we will receive benefits of His blessing. It is God's anointing that destroys the yoke of bondage and lifts the burdens. We are not to live ordinary lives but live lives under the anointing like Jesus did. These transformed lives will then transform lives around us. We are to live supernatural lives by the power of God in us and on us. This is a walk of faith. Jesus proclaimed everywhere He went that the anointing was on Him, Luke 4:18. We also must make this statement by faith if we are born again and filled with the Spirit. We must also believe it. Do not  settle for being mere humans. We are God men and women!
