Devotions:
Sin consciousness holds us in bondage more than any physical bondage. Sin consciousness steals our confidence, our faith, our initiative. Because of sin consciousness we walk as victims. We live like whipped dogs always cowering and expecting punishment. We do not walk as more than conquerors because we do not believe in the salvation that God has wrought.
“And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.”
Hebrews 10:17-18 KJV
Jesus made one sacrifice for sin. He is not continually dying for our sins, He took care of that once and for all, not for our sins only but for the ins of the whole world. The issue no longer sin but what do you do with Jesus. The world will die and go to hell if they do not accept His finished work on the cross. Jesus is the forgiveness for my sins and iniquity. When I sin now Jesus has already paid the price for my sin and His blood continually cleanses me. I stand holy and righteous before the Father because of Jesus. We are the forgiven!
