Making Plans

 August 17, 2017

Devotions:

As Christians we are often not planning on dying instead of planning on not dying. One is blindly going along not expecting something to happen until it happens. The other one is walking along making plans on how to live out our full length of days.  One is not making plans to die so when death comes it is a shock.  The second one is looking after our health and building our faith, being careful about how we walk.

“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Neither give place to the devil.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Our enemy is very real and he will try to take us our early if he could.  He is a defeated foe but we cannot do things that will open the door for the devil to take advantage of us. We should make careful plans to fulfill the calling that God has for us and not just believe that because we born again and washed in the blood of Jesus that the enemy cannot have access to us.  If we open the door to him, he will come in.  Worry, strife, unforgiveness, are some of the doors that will allow the enemy to enter and take you out early. Plan to finish your course.  You are not planning on dying but plan to live and not die and do the work of the Lord.
