Thinking God's Thoughts

 August 23, 2017

Devotions:

The major battles that we go through are won or lost in our minds.  Paul tells us that we must keep our minds focused on the right things in order to walk in victory.

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We must watch what we see, what we read, what we hear others say or even say ourselves.  When the wrong thoughts come then we must use the word of God and stand against the thoughts.  Satan's original attack of Adam and Eve and Jesus was an attack on their identity, "If you are the Son of God...."  All thoughts and actions of sin come from us doubting God's love for us, us doubting that we are the sons of God. All that Paul tells us to think on is our sonship in God that He did through Jesus Christ. Know who you are according to what God says about you, a beloved son or daughter in who He greatly delights in and rejoices over.  Do not accept what Satan through the world wants to say about you, that you are worthless failure before God.
