Give No Place For The Devil
September 22, 2017
Devotions:
Evil is rampant in the earth because God gave man authority over the earth and man turned that authority over to the evil enemy. A place where God reigns supreme is heaven where no evil can exist. Jesus told His disciples to pray that God's kingdom would come and God's will would be done on earth as it is in heaven. Before Adam sinned there was no evil on the earth. Our job as Christians is to bring heaven to earth. As long as men are on the earth, some of them will choose to embrace evil and open the door for the enemy to rule in all his wickedness. We as Christians have the authority to change things in prayer but it must be with faith. The more believers that know who they are in Christ and exercise their authority to take cities and countries for the kingdom the more the influence of the Gospel will flourish and the more the influence of God will dominate. God is looking for a few good men and women who hate nothing but sin and fear (respect and honor) nothing but God. God is looking for a heart that is sold out to Him alone. In Jesus, the evil one is already defeated. If we go to try to defeat the enemy we will loose because the battle is ready over, we win. We should go to take back what the enemy has stolen from our Father.
“Leave no [such] room or foothold for the devil [give no opportunity to him].”
Ephesians 4:27 AMPC
“Then Jesus answered him, Blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied) are you, Simon Bar-Jonah. For flesh and blood [men] have not revealed this to you, but My Father Who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros –a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra –a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it]. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven. [Isa. 22:22.]”
