Sanctify God in Your Heart

Devotions:
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:”
1 Peter 3:15 KJV
To sanctify the Lord God is to treat Him as special and not as common or ordinary. When we do not honor God with our actions and our words we are treating Him as common. When we do not spend time fellowshipping with Him in prayer or through His word we are saying that He is no significance to us, and we are not acknowledging Him for who He is. To us He is just another voice in the world. When we do not fellowship with fellow believers or we are late for church we are saying that it is just another meeting and is really insignificant to us.
“Then Moses said unto Aaron, This is it that the Lord spake, saying, I will be sanctified in them that come nigh me, and before all the people I will be glorified. And Aaron held his peace.” Leviticus 10:3 KJV
God had just consumed the offering and the altar with fire from heaven and Nadab and Abihu, Arron's sons, had taken it upon themselves to offer fire that God had not ordained and fire came from heaven and consumed them. They were treating God as common, nothing special. But our God is special. He is the God of god's. All of the wisest men of the world put together are still foolish compared to Him. Give God a special place in your heart and in your time each day. See what He will do for you.
